After returning home to Omaha, played on a traveling Class “A” team. Won the Class “A” National Batting Title in 1996. Was selected to 6) ASA Class A All American and 4) All-World Teams. Played on 2) National Championship and 2) World Series Championship Teams. Inducted into the Nebraska Hall of Fame in 2006. Ended career with over 800 home runs and a lifetime batting ave. of .761. Currently, is Sizzle’s Hitting Instructor as well as the private hitting instructor for numerous high school girls. This year, had 13 students who were awarded All-State Honors. Mariah: Started playing fast pitch at age 9. Played primarily 1st and moved to outfield in college. Played in 4 Class “A” ASA National Championship Tournaments. Awarded numerous tournament MVP awards . Attended Creighton University from 1990-1994. Played OF. Excellent right-handed hitter but moved to the left side as a slapper because of her speed. Allie: Currently a Junior at Papillion South High School in Papillion, NE. Primary positions: Catcher / CF but has played every position including pitcher. Left handed hitter / slapper. Highly recruited as a high school sophomore. She was the youngest player ever to be recruited by Creighton University. Also, highly recruited by Nebraska, Iowa State, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado State. Sophomore year: Named to the 1st Team All Nebraska, All Metro and tied for Player of the Year. Junior Year: Came off of the summer season winning Team MVP, batting .585 with an on-base percentage of .706. Led her summer team in 5 categories and 2nd in homeruns. High School: Led the state of Nebraska in hitting with a .551 batting average, named to 1st Team All Nebraska, 1st Team Super State and was unanimously voted Player of the Year by all the Omaha Metro High School coaches. Mariah and Oj: Began coaching in one of the most highly recognized fast pitch organizations in Omaha when Allie turned 9 years old. In Mariah’s tenure as an Echoes Head Coach the team accomplished many goals including: 4 State Championships, played in 3 ASA Class “A” National Championship Tournaments, 1 ASA Northern National Championship in which the team finished 2nd. To date, Mariah and Oj have 8) Division I commited players. Moved to the Sizzle organization in 2009 to forgo the 16&U age group and coach and 18 &U team. This team ended with a 58-16 record on the season finishing 2nd at the 18U NFA Nationals. As a team, hit 49 homeruns with 122 doubles for the year.
